What is escrow and how does it work
· 5 min
Escrow is a payment method where money is held by an intermediary until both sides have kept their agreement.
In plain words
You order an ad and pay, but the money does not go to the creator right away. It stays on the platform and is settled once the conditions are met. The advertiser is protected from “I paid and there is no ad”, and the creator from “I published and was not paid”.
The steps on AdShare
- 01
The budget is reserved
When the order is confirmed, the chosen maximum budget is reserved from your wallet.
- 02
The creator accepts
The creator accepts or declines the order. If declined, the money is refunded in full.
- 03
Publication and result
The ad goes live and unique visits through the link are counted.
- 04
Settlement
Payment is min(price, visits × 1 000 UZS), the creator receives 85% and the unused part returns to you.
Duration
Funds are held in escrow for 72 hours. This gives both sides time to check and settle.
What else protects you
- Channels are checked by the bot and a moderator
- A separate tracking link for every order
- Bots are filtered and repeat visits are not counted
- Sign-in is through Telegram only; no passwords are stored
Escrow in other fields
The escrow idea is not only for advertising: real estate deals, freelance platforms and online marketplaces use it too. The essence is the same everywhere: money sits with a neutral party until the conditions are met.
What changes for the advertiser
- If the creator declines or the ad does not run, the money is fully refunded
- You pay only for results: the unused part is returned automatically
- Each order status and amount is visible in your wallet
What changes for the creator
- Before an order starts, the money is already on the platform: payment is guaranteed
- You receive 85% of the charged amount
- You submit a request to withdraw earnings
Escrow versus prepayment
With prepayment the money goes straight to the contractor and a refund depends on their goodwill. With escrow the money sits with a third party, so the sides do not have to trust each other blindly.
On AdShare funds are held for 72 hours and settled by results.
Escrow step by step: one order as an example
- 01
Order and payment
The advertiser places an order and the funds are reserved on the platform. The creator does not receive anything yet.
- 02
Publication
On Telegram the post goes out automatically through the bot; on Instagram the creator publishes it.
- 03
Counting
Unique visits are counted and payment is set by min(price, visits × 1 000 UZS).
- 04
Hold period
Funds are held for 72 hours so any dispute can be reviewed in that time.
- 05
Settlement
85 percent goes to the creator and 15 percent to the platform. The unused part returns to the advertiser.
Who escrow protects, and from what
- The advertiser: if the post is not published or there is no result, they do not lose the full amount.
- The creator: the money is reserved up front, so payment after the work is guaranteed.
- Both sides: from ambiguity in the agreement, because the rules are known in advance.
- From paying for nothing: with 0 visits the amount is refunded in full.

Common misconceptions about escrow
- "The platform uses the money itself": no, funds are held only in connection with the order and distributed by the rule.
- "It is an extra fee": no, escrow is not a separate price but a payment procedure. The pricing formula does not change.
- "The creator is paid instantly": no, funds reach the balance after the 72-hour hold.
- "The advertiser can lose everything": no, the unused part is refunded, and with no visits the full amount.
- "Only for big companies": no, the same rule applies to small orders.
What happens if there is a disagreement
The hold period exists for exactly this reason: funds are held for 72 hours. If the advertiser or creator is unhappy with the outcome, they should contact support during that time. Typical reasons are a post that did not go out at the agreed time, a changed text or a wrong link.
Most problems can be prevented in advance: the publication time, text and link are stated clearly in the order. Clear terms reduce the chance of a dispute and help both sides reach a decision quickly.

Frequently asked questions
Do I get my money back if the creator does not publish?
Yes: the budget returns to you. If an order is cancelled, the post is removed from the channel as well.
Is there a separate fee for escrow?
No. The platform commission is 15%, taken from the charged amount.
